For my classmate's blog critique I decided to display everyone's blogs simply because each one is unique and reveals each character's sense of style whether purely in their writings, creative templates, or choices in topics.

 -- Creativity in Design --

Morgan’s blogs is where I first acknowledge the infinite ways to express and showcase our blogs with the usage of embedding templates and is what inspired me to play around with my own blog. Now, to be honest, as a first-time user with Google Blogger, I spent hours learning how to embed and re-design a template to best fit my identity as well as what grasps my liking. I seriously went through an entire trial and error test run trying to find something - anything that really felt like ‘me’. But that was only problem #1, I still needed to figure out exactly how to embed and revise the current template to correspond with the course, and after watching useless footage of clips on how to implant a template and then edit it, I soon figured the entire concept on my own. Let me be the first to say, It wasn’t easy…but it was well worth it. This goes to prove that you honestly have to work hard to attain what you want and it really pays off in the end, so I’m acknowledging Morgan’s works in her blog and am really impressed by her sense of style.

I think what I like most about Lauryn’s blog is the shade of pink that brings out her content stationed within a white background. The two colors go nicely to emphasize her choice of design. Each blog of hers is showcased on her home page with an addition to a brief bio of herself, including a place to search and view some of her most recent and popular blogs that may interest you.

Maggie didn’t have to embed a template to enhance her blog’s design, the background alone makes her blog succeedingly noticeable, and her image for her classmate blog critique alluringly adds on to its defined look. The toned colors alone attract my attention as well as her unique choice of font style that highlights her name as well as the blog itself.

-- Writing Styles --

I noticed that in Raushaun’s blogs that he uses a uniformed font to present his writings to attract his readers, which to me, immediately caught my attention as it was the very first thing I noticed aside from the headings. His images along with his content are well structured. On top of that, his blogs aren’t too overwhelmed in their length of words as his paragraphs are kept short and simple. I also like how he engages his own experiences in his topics such as his usage with DoorDash in his Global Trends or the Samsung refrigerator in his Product Review.

Treyviontae’s writing style plays a part in his structure as to how he sets up his topic. His style is the same setup as writing a paper or essay for submission. He begins with his name on the upper left side and goes down to list the class professor, the course, and lastly the appropriate date. His framework corresponds with Raushaun’s scenery with the black background and white lettering, which makes it easier to read. Trey’s paragraphing is kept short and to the point with the addition of screenshots and links that are deftly accessible to all.

-- Informative Topics --

Clicking onto one of Taylor’s blogs is an immediate sense of information regarding her choice of topic, and her structures of paragraphs are neatly put together to where it’s not overwhelming to actually take the time and read through them. I took account of this in her Product Review of the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go, and I like how her images correspond with her subject matter, and it simply just looks clean and well-done.

Abby has short but informative paragraphs that gives you an insight on the topic alone. She also provides interactions such as twitter posts, images, and a few snippets as well that all goes along with the main idea. An example of this can be seen in her programming trends where she talks about Amazon’s fire-tv and their competitors.

Gwen offers a lot of interaction based on her topics while providing well-length paragraphs to introduce her thoughts and ideas. I like how her posts are neatly stationed together as well as the information within them, making her blogs look well composed and easily deciphered, so you’re not hit with so much documentation all at once.

Haylee's blogs are really informative and resourceful. She provides much interaction to correspond with her theme, such as links, videos, and images. I would say my favorite post of hers would be her product review on the many generations of Apple watches.

Jonathan applies much details and evidence to his lists of subjects, revealing much insight and interest. He includes subtitles to introduce the theme of his paragraphs so you know exactly what you’re reading up to. There’s accessible video clips, links, and images that may be used to your advantage in case you wish to know more about something in particular.
